Most of the people I work with had it together before the baby came. Organized. Capable. The friend everyone else called when things fell apart. Then they became a parent, and the version of themselves they relied on for years stopped showing up the way she used to.
You may have done some therapy. You know the words for what you are feeling. You can explain that you are anxious, that you are touched out, that you love your kid and also do not recognize your life. What you have not figured out is how to stop measuring yourself against the parent you assumed you would be, or how to put down the mental load you have been carrying since before the baby arrived.
I work with women and birthing people through pregnancy, postpartum, and the long stretch of early parenthood nobody prepares you for. That includes pregnancy after loss, birth that did not go the way you planned, and the slow identity shift that comes with becoming someone’s parent. I treat that shift as the actual work, not a phase to push through.
My approach is practical and paced to you. We start with what is loudest right now: the sleep, the intrusive thoughts, the resentment you feel guilty about. I draw on EMDR for birth trauma, cognitive and mindfulness tools for the anxiety, and an ongoing conversation about who you are becoming. Some weeks are skill-building. Some weeks are just having a place to say the thing out loud.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, with six years in practice. I hold an MA in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and am EMDR and perinatal mental health trained. Registration and training links are below.
Most of my clients are doing this alongside a full life. Real life is welcome in the room. So is humor, when you have it in you.If you have been looking for a therapist who takes the whole transition into parenthood seriously, and who will not rush you toward feeling fine, book a free 15-minute consultation. I would love to meet you.

How we can help
Already an MYM client?
We can AI-optimize your bio.
Design matters here. The information used to optimize your bio still needs to be easy on the eyes and not compete with the content your clients are actually looking for.
If you have worked with us on your website and want our help adding the AI optimization pieces, email us to get started.
Not a client yet? Let us build your website right.
Your bio works hardest when the rest of your website is built to support it. If you need a site that turns visits into consults, with messaging, design, and SEO that work together, we would love to talk.
